Overview / Responsibilities
Wood are currently recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our multidiscipline and multi-client Aberdeen Engineering Hub, to support various scopes across the full project lifecycle including Front end concept studies, FEED, EPC and Decommissioning.
This role is to work on a FEED study to assess an existing FPSO topsides design and status for redeployment to an other field. Perform FEED level engineering on the required topsides modifications to allow the FPSO to suit the new field conditions and to ensure compliance with the relevant rules and regulations as well as review repair and life extension scopes for the FPSO. Preliminary major packages of work include Sulphate Removal System, Compressor modifications and replacements, New Turboexpanders, Upgrades and refurbishment of ICSS system.
Executing assigned scopes of work
Uses technical knowledge to perform engineering assignments and produce engineering deliverables including complex problems
Performs engineering assignments, usually representing a significant portion of a larger project
Selects engineering techniques to solve problems and makes design recommendations
Skills / Qualifications
BSc, BEng or equivalent professional qualification or HND or equivalent with extensive relevant experience
