Role Context:

Working as part of the Materials discipline as a Materials and Corrosion engineer for hydrocarbon projects. The Materials and Corrosion engineer reports functionally to the Department Manager and operationally to the Lead Materials Engineer.

You’ll be:

Responsible for Materials and Corrosion activities and deliverables, such as:


Engineering Specifications

Materials Selection

Development of Reports/Studies

Corrosion Assessment Calculations

Corrosion Assessment

Material Selection Diagrams

Technical Bid Evaluations

Material Requisitions

Vendor Data Review

Maintenance of Worley specifications and standards

Liaising with counterparts in other Worley offices

Awareness and review of emerging codes and technologies

You’ll have:

Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Materials Engineering or Metallurgy (preferably Chartered Engineer)

Proven experience in Materials and Corrosion engineering and design

Good understanding of requirements of other departments and interfaces in engineering

A thorough knowledge of applicable international codes and standards and major Company/Operators standards

Experience in FEED and Detail Engineering projects with exposure to field engineering activities

Ability to organise and set priorities

Ability to communicate and present effectively

Good communication skills with peers and customers

Ability to report in in English, both verbal & in writing
