MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Managing a busy housekeeping team – focusing on quality, attention to detail and ensuring that the 28 bedrooms and communal areas are kept immaculate
* Lead and develop the team to deliver excellent standards and a warm and welcoming guest experience
* Recruiting, inducting, training and developing employees
* Manage day to day operations
* Responsible for preparing and implementing rosters, managing holidays and other leave
* Prepare and take ownership of departmental budgets, stocktakes and control of wages
* Contribute to continually reviewing and improving standards in order to exceed guest expectations
* Prepare to be flexible and hands on when required
* Daily briefings & task allocation
* Daily audits of all operational standards
* Organising Suite amenities & VIP requests
* Ordering of linen, cleaning materials and guest supplies
* Liasing with maintenance on remedial actions required
* Handling guest feedback
* Managing lost property
* Carry out appraisals
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
* Housekeeping management or supervisory experience for 2 + years in a property of similar size & standard
* Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
* Keen attention to detail essential
* Strong IT skills with sound knowledge of Microsoft Office software. Knowledge of hotels management systems such as ResDiary also beneficial
* Demonstrate collaboration with other departments
