TEXO Recruitment are working on behalf of a well established software provider and are looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to work within the existing team. The role of the Business Development Manager will be to support the existing customer base and to explore new opportunities for the current product set as well as to identify, develop and secure new business within the energy sector. The company maintains and develops a software product which is used by operators to manage several aspects of the daily operations of both upstream and downstream assets ranging across the four key areas of site safety, process safety, integrity and maintenance with software modules enabling both data collection and information to be surfaced across the solution to assist the end user in decision making. The range of software modules enables the solution to be implemented in a tailored manner for each customer and in doing so caters for addressing both the needs of the operator and the compliance visibility with a view to assuring safe and reliable operations of an asset. The product has a software roadmap in place which is driven by the needs of the customer as well as the technology and industry trends, and as such evolves in consultation with the customer base and the needs of the industry. The role requires that the candidate have experience and understanding across the four areas mentioned and specifically in the following processes: * Handovers * Events * Upsets * Actions & Tasks * Operational risk assessments * Management of change * Process safety overrides * Locked valve management * Joint integrity management * Critical equipment management * Control of work / permit to work A key part of the role will be to increase the awareness of the company brand through networking, attending appropriate events, exhibiting at such events, demonstrating the product to potential customers and using industry knowledge and connections to help drive the business forwards. Working directly with the Managing Director, you will need to have an ability to understand the technology and its respective implementation for use in the energy sector, both upstream and downstream, therefore experience in this field is a necessity.
